sjuush shared his impressions of winning the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022

sjuush, representing the colors of the Heroic team, shared his impressions of winning the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 in an interview for HLTV.

This win definitely boosts your confidence. We have wanted to win a LAN tournament for a long time, and we have reached the playoffs many times, got into the Top 4 and Top 8 in every LAN tournament, so this means a lot to us. We finally broke through, broke the curse.

I think we expected more from ourselves, but we were still very pleased with our results. If you look back at my career, at least I was never in a major, then top 4 and top 8, and also made the playoffs in Katowice, before that I had not even made the playoffs. We expected more, we wanted to win a few tournaments, but we still have come a long way and we can be proud of it.

Every victory over Astralis means something, whether it's the first game of the tournament or the grand final, it's still the same.

Even against BIG, we were surprised that they wanted to play Mirage as we have confidence in this card and are comfortable playing it. I think they were very surprised by the choice of Overpass, while our Mirage was insanely good. We knew Ancient would be Astralis' pick, it seems to be the only map they've got and they're really good at it.

Recall that Heroic became the winner of the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022. In the grand final of the championship, the team defeated Astralis with a score of 2:0 and earned $150,000.

The Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 was held from 8 to 11 June in the Swedish city of Lund at the Sparbanken Skåne Arena. As part of the championship, eight participants from Europe, North and South America competed for a prize pool of $250,000.
