NAVI, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and FURIA guaranteed participation in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2022

Tournament operator ESL has presented a list of fifteen teams that have guaranteed their participation in IEM Cologne 2022. At the same time, NaVi, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and FURIA teams will definitely start their journey from the group stage, earning the required number of points during the tournament season.

Currently, the names of four of the sixteen teams that will perform at the IEM Cologne 2022 group stage are known - NAVI, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and FURIA. Twelve more teams will join them, eight of which will proceed from the Play-In stage, and four will receive invitations by the number of points.

In addition, the Imperial Esports, TYLOO, GODSENT and Sprout teams guaranteed themselves participation in the Play-In stage, without the right to improve their positions relative to the rating. At the same time, the Danish-German team received a slot for the tournament thanks to the victory at ESL Meisterschaft Spring 2022.

Cloud9, ENCE, Heroic, Team Liquid, Complexity Gaming, Team Vitality and NIP will also take part in IEM Cologne 2022. At the same time, each of the teams has a chance to advance to the group stage, having received additional points at subsequent championships under the auspices of the Intel Extreme Masters.

The remaining ten tickets to the championship will be distributed in accordance with the world ranking from ESL, as well as the table of champions for the regions of Oceania, Europe and North America.

IEM Cologne 2022 will take place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Lanxess-Arena. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points for the BLAST Premier table.
