FUT Esports Exit PGL Cluj-Napoca After a Tense Loss to PARIVISION

In the decisive match for a playoff spot at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026, PARIVISION and FUT delivered an intense three-map series for the fans. The matchup was extremely close, featuring overtime, comebacks, and battles that went down to the very last rounds. In the end, PARIVISION managed to edge out their opponents and advance with a 3-2 record, while FUT’s tournament run came to an end.

Dust2 kicked off the series with a string of intense rounds right from the start. The first half was evenly contested, with neither side able to establish clear dominance, ending in a tie. In the second half, PARIVISION put together a six-round streak to reach map point. However, FUT secured the final two rounds to force overtime, where they ultimately fell short 17-19.

On their own map, FUT dominated on the CT side, taking an early 10-0 lead. After the side switch, PARIVISION mirrored their opponents’ momentum and narrowed the score to 9-11. Nevertheless, FUT maintained control and closed out Mirage with a 13-10 victory.

On the deciding map, Ancient, FUT once again showed the fighting spirit they displayed at the beginning of the series but ultimately lost a close contest 10-13.

Match MVP

Despite the defeat, lauNX was named the MVP of the match, finishing the series with an 83.5 ADR and a 1.29 rating.

FUT delivered a tough but productive performance throughout the tournament. Confident victories over Astralis and Aurora highlighted the team’s potential. However, the loss in the decisive match against PARIVISION eliminates FUT from PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 in 9th–11th place, earning $15,625 in prize money, with the same amount awarded to the organization.

PARIVISION advance to the playoffs with a 3-2 record. PGL Cluj-Napoca runs from February 14 to 22, featuring 16 teams competing for $225,000 for first place, with a total prize pool of $1,250,000.
