MIBR became the winner of ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America

ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from January 19 to April 4, 16 teams from North and South America fought for a prize pool of $50,000, as well as a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16. The winner of the tournament was the MIBR team, which in the grand outplayed Carpe Diem 3:1 in the final.

The tournament for the future winner began with an impressive performance in the group stage, during which MIBR got seven victories, losing only one map.

Having made it to the playoffs, the Brazilian team continued its victorious march, outplaying Orgless (2:0), Carpe Diem (2:0) and paiN Gaming (2:0), making it to the grand final. Here, MIBR quickly used their starting advantage to beat Carpe Diem (3:1) again and win a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16.

  • 2nd place: Carpe Diem - $11,500 + place in the S41 Challenger League.
  • 3rd place: paiN Gaming - $7,000 + place in the S41 Challenger League.
  • 4th place: Strife Esports — $4,000 + place in S41 Challenger League.
  • 5th-6th place: Gaimin Gladiators and ATK — $2,500 + a place in the S41 Challenger League.
  • 7th-8th place: Orgless and Party Astronauts — $1,250 + place in S41 Challenger League.
  • 9th-10th place: ONET4P and Team oNe eSports - a place in the S41 Challenger League.
  • 11th-12th place: Eros and Bad News Bears - relegated to S40 Relegation.
  • 13th-14th place: Third Impact and BHOP Esports - relegated to S40 Relegation.
  • 15th place: X13 - relegated to S41 Advanced.
