Getting ready for the start of BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021

Add as a Preferred Source

Only a few hours are left before the start of BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021, which means that the eight best teams based on the results of the autumn series of BLAST tournaments will compete for a prize pool of $ 425,000, as well as the main prize - a ticket to BLAST Premier World Final 2021. In this We invite you to get acquainted with the composition of the participants, the format of the event, as well as the basic rules of the championship.

BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021 format

The championship will begin with a Playoff Double-Elimination bracket, in which eight teams are split into quarterfinal pairs. While the winners of the starting matches will reach the semifinals, the losing teams will go to the lower bracket, where they will have the last chance to reach the BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021 grand final. Absolutely all matches of the tournament will be held in the BO3 format (up to two won cards).

Eight teams from Europe, CIS and North America will determine the winner of the tournament at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. The tournament will be held from 24 to 28 November at the arena with a live audience. However, the audience will appear in the stands only from November 26, that is, from the moment the battles started in the first round of the lower bracket.

The tournament will comply with the rules and restrictions imposed by the Danish authorities in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, all fans attending the event will need to present the so-called CoronaPass or valid proof of vaccination, immunity or negative coronavirus test to enter.

Prize fund distribution

At BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021, the organizers will compete not only for a substantial prize pool of $ 425,000, but also BLAST Premier series points and one ticket to BLAST Premier World Final 2021. Interestingly, not everyone will get a slot for the final event in December, since NAVI and Heroic have already guaranteed themselves participation in the championship thanks to their successful performances in previous tournaments.

  • 1st place: $ 225,000 + 4,000 points + a slot at BLAST Premier World Final 2021.
  • 2nd place: $ 85,000 + 2,000 points.

Championship favorites and outsiders

Several teams should be singled out among the main outsiders of the championship: Team Vitality, Team Liquid, BIG. While the first two teams are waiting for reshuffles, the German team has traditional problems playing at LAN tournaments.

First, it's worth looking at Team Vitality. The French will almost certainly get rid of shox, Kyojin and XTQZZZ. In this situation, the motivation of the team is unclear, since the French will have to step over themselves in order to show a decent result.

Team Liquid is in a similar situation, which has not trained at all since the end of PGL Major 2021. Stewie2K and FalleN are on the way out, and one of the replacement options is shox, claiming to leave the Vitality camp. There is talk of a possible return of nitr0 from VALORANT, which also does not bode well in the short term. In any case, the North American team has too little chance of a good performance in Denmark, since the line-up is literally playing out the last months and leaving.

With BIG, everything is much simpler - the team traditionally collapses at major tournaments, along the way experiencing problems when playing on stage. At the same time, the composition of the team seems to be almost the weakest in this championship.

The favorites of the tournament are NAVI and Heroic. If the former have recently become champions of PGL Major 2021, then the Danes will perform in front of the local audience at all.

The prospects for FaZe Clan, NIP and Astralis are hazy. The last two teams made changes in their composition at all, which means that they need time to fully master. At the same time, FaZe Clan does not indulge in stability, from time to time both failing tournaments and showing sensational results.

In any case, BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021 promises to be interesting, since LAN championships have not attended the discipline in such a volume for quite a long time.
