What you need to know before the start of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021

Only a few hours are left before the start of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021. 12 teams have already gathered in Budapest to compete for a prize pool of € 300,000 - not bad for a second tier championship. At the same time, it is known in advance that the championship will be held in a hybrid format, that is, without spectators in the arena. In this regard, we propose to get acquainted with the format of the event, the distribution of the prize fund, as well as the participants of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021.

Format of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021

The tournament will begin with the Play-In stage, where teams that have passed regional qualifications and the International Cup sieve will perform. Eight teams have already been divided into two groups, in which they will compete for four tickets to the main stage of the tournament. The opening matches of the Play-In stage will be held in the BO1 format, while all subsequent matches will be played in the full-fledged BO3 format. Next will be both the winners of the quartets, that is, the teams that won both meetings, and the teams that took second places in their groups.

Group A:

  • Sinners Esports.
  • ONYX.
  • eSuba.
  • AGO.

Group B:

  • Wisła Kraków.
  • Team Fiend.
  • ENTERPRISE esports.
  • Team Hungary (Budapest Five).

After the Play-In stage, the main part of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021 will begin. Here teams that have emerged from the preliminary stage of the championship will face four invited teams, which include Gambit Esports, Entropiq, BIG and Movistar Riders.

Eight teams will also be divided into two groups, where they will compete for six tickets to the playoffs of the tournament at once. The opening matches of the group stage will also be held in BO1 format, while all remaining matches will be in full-fledged BO3 format.

The winners of Groups A and B will advance directly to the semi-finals of the championship, while the teams that took 2nd and 3rd places in their quartets will start their way from the quarter-finals. At the same time, the teams that took the last places in the groups will leave the championship. All playoff matches of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021 will be held in the BO3 format. An exception will be the grand final, which will offer the teams the BO5 format.

Prize pool distribution

  • 1st place: € 150,000.
  • 2nd place: € 60,000.
  • 3rd-4th place: € 20,000.
  • 3rd-4th place: € 20,000.
  • 5th-6th place: € 10,000.
  • 5th-6th place: € 10,000.
  • 7th-8th place: € 7,500.
  • 7th-8th place: € 7,500.
  • 9-10th place: € 3,750.
  • 9-10th place: € 3,750.
  • 11th-12th place: € 3,750.
  • 11th-12th place: € 3,750.

Draw and schedule of V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021

Since the championship is divided into several stages, only the results of the draw for the Play-In stage, which will take place from 14 to 16 November, are known.

The group stage of the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021 will take place from 17 to 18 November. In turn, the playoffs of the championship will be held from 19 to 21 November.

V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021 will take place from November 14 to 21 at Studio Environment in Budapest. Twelve teams from Europe, CIS and Eastern Europe will compete for a prize pool of € 300,000. In this case, the winner of the championship will receive € 150,000.
