Team G2 beat Heroic 2: 1, thus becoming the first finalist of PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Now the team will play against the winner of the second Gambit semi-final - NAVI.
The first semi-final of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 began on Nuke, which became the choice of the Danish team. At the same time, Heroic was able to instantly seize the initiative in order to get a minimal advantage over the side switching. However, the Balkan French quickly woke up, as the Heroic attack proved ineffective against NiKo's and company defenses. As a result, an easy victory for G2 and equality in the series - 16:10.
Everything was decided on the Inferno map, the first half of which this time went to the G2 piggy bank. At the same time, even after the change of sides, the team continued to press the opponent, gradually running away into the lead. However, at some point, the Danes turned on the fifth gear in order to make an important comeback and take the fate of a ticket to the grand final of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 in overtime. Nevertheless, the final segment of the match was held by G2, which managed to snatch the victory from the opponent's hands - 19:15.
After this defeat, Heroic takes 3-4 place at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, earning $ 140,000, as well as 1,100 ESL Pro Tour points and 1,250 BLAST Premier points.
