The third game day of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Challengers Stage has come to an end, as a result of which six teams at once determined their fate in this championship. And if paiN, TYLOO and Renegades went home, then Entropiq, Virtus.pro and ENCE entered the Legends stage. However, on this day there were several big sensations at once, which it is impossible to pass by.

Fourth round of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Challengers Stage

The game day began with a confrontation between teams competing for a place in the Legends stage. At the same time, the derby of the CIS teams stood apart, which presented quite bright moments. However, in a tense struggle, Virtus.pro outplayed Spirit, thus getting its well-deserved ticket to the next stage of the championship. Nevertheless, the real sensation took place in the game Heroic - Entropiq, as the Danish team unexpectedly lost to an outsider, capitulating on the decisive map Mirage.

Another slot in the Legends stage was played by the teams BIG and ENCE. But we didn’t manage to see much struggle from the German team, because after the defeat on Dust 2, ENCE players gathered their thoughts and closed the rival. In between, there was a meeting between Movistar Riders and TYLOO, which decided the fate of the place in the last round. However, the Chinese team still lacked the skill to make another surprise.

In the evening, the fate of the remaining teams was decided. And if Astralis defeated the Brazilians from paiN in a dry, but not without nerves, then in their duel the MOUZ team gave many chances to doubt their own strengths. And yet the last meeting ended with the defeat of Renegades, who went to pack their bags and return to Australia.

Results of the fourth round of the Challengers stage:

  • Virtus.pro (2 - 1) Team Spirit
  • Heroic (1-2) Entropiq
  • BIG (1 - 2) ENCE
  • Movistar Riders (2 - 1) TYLOO
  • MOUZ (2 - 1) Renegades
  • Astralis (2 - 0) paiN Gaming
