LOUD– OpTic Gaming: VALORANT Champions 2022 Main Event or Grand Finals
Yuriy SheremetRiot Games' biggest shooter tournament of the year is drawing to a close. Today, VALORANT Champions 2022 will meet its climax with a match between LOUD and OpTic Gaming.
Representatives of South America will come together in a fight against their counterparts from the North American region. The winner of the match will raise the Champions Cup and claim the main cash prize of 300,000 and an additional $1,000,000 from Champions 2022 Champions Skin Bundle sales.
Both clubs have made a thorny path on the way to the only bo5. Starting from the regional leagues and the group stage, ending with the playoff stage.
LOUD made it to the World Championship by taking first place in the VCT 2022 - Brazil Circuit Point Standings. At the World Championships, LOUD were placed in Group B.
The Brazilians played the group with a score of 2-1, losing to their future opponents in the grand final. In the playoffs, LOUD bounced back, first leaving no chance for Leviatan and DRX (2-0, 2-0), and only after sending OpTic to the lower bracket (2-0).

In the main stage, OpTic defeated Team Liquid, and after that they coped with their colleagues from XSET. They didn't succeed in countering LOUD in the upper bracket final, but now they have every chance for it in bo5.
VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
