Riot Games' biggest shooter tournament of the year is drawing to a close. Today, VALORANT Champions 2022 will meet its climax with a match between LOUD and OpTic Gaming.

Representatives of South America will come together in a fight against their counterparts from the North American region. The winner of the match will raise the Champions Cup and claim the main cash prize of 300,000 and an additional $1,000,000 from Champions 2022 Champions Skin Bundle sales.

Both clubs have made a thorny path on the way to the only bo5. Starting from the regional leagues and the group stage, ending with the playoff stage.

LOUD made it to the World Championship by taking first place in the VCT 2022 - Brazil Circuit Point Standings. At the World Championships, LOUD were placed in Group B.

The Brazilians played the group with a score of 2-1, losing to their future opponents in the grand final. In the playoffs, LOUD bounced back, first leaving no chance for Leviatan and DRX (2-0, 2-0), and only after sending OpTic to the lower bracket (2-0).

OpTic Gaming qualified for VALORANT Champions 2022 on VCT 2022 - North America points, where they took 1st place. At the World Championship, the team got into group B, where, after two victories, they secured a place in the playoffs.

In the main stage, OpTic defeated Team Liquid, and after that they coped with their colleagues from XSET. They didn't succeed in countering LOUD in the upper bracket final, but now they have every chance for it in bo5.
