Another Paper Rex player infected with coronavirus
/d4v41 has tested positive for coronavirus. As a result, the 23-year-old Malaysian player has been suspended from the rest of the Paper Rex team and will be forced to play in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen playoffs from a separate facility. It is reported that the e-sportsman feels well, but there are minor symptoms of the disease.
The health and safety of the players and staff at the Masters in Copenhagen is our highest priority. As a precautionary measure due to COVID-19, all participants should be tested regularly. During mandatory testing, a member of the Paper Rex team received a positive PCR test result. Our policy states that in the event that a player tests positive for COVID-19 but feels well enough to compete and decides to play, they will be able to play their scheduled match over the LAN built into the isolation facility. The player with a positive test will compete in an isolated room, while his teammates and the opposing team will compete on stage. The order of matches on a given day is subject to change.
Note that this is not the first time that Paper Rex has experienced a shortage of staff due to the coronavirus. A little earlier, f0rsakeN was removed from the team and moved to a separate room.
Despite the circumstances, Paper Rex got off to a good start in the playoffs of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen, winning 2-0 over Guild Esports the day before.
