Results of Day 2 at VCT EMEA Stage 2: Victories for Team Liquid and FUT Esports
July 17 marked the conclusion of the second day of the VCT EMEA Stage 2 group stage. Teams from Groups Omega and Alpha delivered intense and entertaining matches. Both Team Liquid and FUT Esports came out on top with hard-fought 2–1 victories, showcasing strong performances on the deciding maps.
Team Liquid 2–1 KOI (Group Omega)
Map 1 – Bind
Score: Team Liquid 13–9 KOI
Team Liquid took the lead early with a strong attacking side (9 rounds), followed by a confident finish on defense. The victory on Bind gave TL a 1–0 lead in the series.
Map 2 – Icebox
Score: KOI 13–9 Team Liquid
KOI bounced back on their map pick, controlling the pace and equalizing the series with a solid performance.
Map 3 – Lotus
Score: Team Liquid 13–4 KOI
The decider turned into a one-sided affair. Liquid completely dominated the map and closed out the series in convincing fashion.
FUT Esports 2–1 Gentle Mates (Group Alpha)
Map 1 – Bind
Score: Gentle Mates 13–7 FUT Esports
Gentle Mates started strong, especially on attack. Minny (Viper) racked up 18 kills with an ACS of 254, while ComeBack led the scoreboard with 19 kills and a 257 ACS.
Map 2 – Sunset
Score: FUT Esports 13–5 Gentle Mates
FUT responded with a dominant showing. They locked down their defense (8–5) and closed out the match quickly on attack. Standout performances came from cNed (Omen) with 21 kills and an ACS of 286, and qRaxs (KAY/O) with 18 kills and an ACS of 277.
Map 3 – Lotus
Score: FUT Esports 16–14 Gentle Mates
The final map delivered a thriller. FUT edged out a win in overtime after a tight back-and-forth. Minny once again shined for Gentle Mates with 34 kills (ACS 318), but it was not enough. yetujey (Cypher) and cNed (Yoru) stepped up for FUT with 24 and 25 kills respectively, securing the win.

- Team Liquid vs KOI: Liquid claimed the series 2–1 thanks to strong showings on Bind and a dominant performance on Lotus, dropping only Icebox.
- FUT vs Gentle Mates: Gentle Mates took the opener, but FUT struck back hard on Sunset and edged out a narrow overtime victory on Lotus to take the series 2–1.
