On August 24, 2025, Natus Vincere (NAVI) delivered a dominant performance against Team Heretics in the Lower Bracket Round 2 of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2. In a best-of-three series, NAVI closed the match 2–0, securing decisive wins on Icebox and Haven.
Map Veto
The veto process left Bind as the potential decider, though it never came into play. NAVI removed Lotus, while Heretics banned Corrode. NAVI opted for Icebox, Heretics chose Haven, with Ascent and Sunset also eliminated.
Icebox (13–3 for NAVI)
The opening map set the tone for the series. NAVI ’s attack was nearly flawless, storming through Heretics’ defenses with sharp executes and excellent coordination. Their defensive side was just as solid, shutting down any chance of a comeback. Shao was the undisputed star, recording 37 kills across the match and posting ACS and ADR numbers almost 30% higher than his average. His impact dictated the pace, leaving Heretics with little room to maneuver.
Haven (13–7 for NAVI)
The second map proved more competitive, with Heretics putting up stronger resistance, especially on their defensive half. However, NAVI maintained composure, balancing aggressive attacking plays with disciplined defense. Once again, Shao led the charge, carrying momentum from Icebox and ensuring a clean sweep for his team.
NAVI’s 2–0 victory was a statement of control and precision. Shao’s outstanding performance made him the clear MVP, setting the tone across both maps. With this result, Heretics are eliminated from VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2, while NAVI continue their lower-bracket run and keep their championship hopes alive.
