Guild Esports beats OpTic Gaming at the start of VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen

The Guild Esports team sensationally beat OpTic Gaming with a score of 2:0 at the start of the group stage of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen. Now the European team will play with KRÜ Esports for the right to reach the playoffs of the championship, while the winners of the last Masters in Reykjavik will meet with LOUD.

The final meeting of the first gaming day started on the Icebox map, which became the choice of the European team. At the same time, Guild Esports immediately seized the initiative, managing to close the first half with a twofold advantage. After switching sides, the North Americans managed to return to the game, creating a little more intrigue. Still, Guild Esports managed to hold back the opponent and at the same time take the lead in the series — 13:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Split map, which became the choice of OpTic Gaming. Here, the teams showed two diametrically opposite halves, failing to determine the winner in regular time. And yet, in overtime, Guild Esports turned out to be a little more successful, thanks to which they got their first victory in the championship — 16:14.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen takes place July 10-24 in Copenhagen in a mixed format. The first weeks of the championship will be held in a studio format, while the final three days will take place at the Forum venue. As part of the championship, twelve participants from Europe, the Americas, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia compete for a prize pool of $650,000, as well as ranking points needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2022.
