OpTic Gaming and LOUD advance to VCT 2022 upper bracket final: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík

The semi-final meetings of VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík have come to an end, as a result of which the OpTic Gaming and LOUD teams reached the final of the upper bracket of the championship. Now the teams will compete for a ticket to the grand final of the competition, which, we recall, will take place on April 24.

In the first semi-final, the North American team OpTic Gaming managed to beat DRX. Losing in the course of the series, Chet's wards managed to return to the game and get a victory over the South Korean team with a score of 2:1.

In the second semi-final, the Brazilians from LOUD turned out to be stronger than G2 Esports with a score of 2:0, thus showing a confident game on two maps.

Today, April 18, the meetings of the second round of the lower bracket will take place. In the first of them, DRX will play with the Japanese team ZETA DIVISION, while G2 Esports and Paper Rex will face each other in the evening.

Intermediate results of VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík

  • 1st place: $200,000 + 750 points.
  • 2nd place: $120,000 + 500 points.
  • 3rd place: $85,000 + 400 points.
  • 4th place: $65,000 + 300 points.
  • 5th-6th place: $40,000 + 250 points.
  • 7th-8th place: Team Liquid and The Guard — $25,000 + 200 points.
  • 9th-10th place: XERXIA and Ninjas in Pajamas — $15,000 + 150 points.
  • 11th-12th place: KRÜ Esports and Fnatic — $10,000 + 125 points.

Note: FunPlus Phoenix was awarded $25,000 and 200 ranking points.

VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík runs from 10 to 24 April. Twelve teams from all over the world are competing for a $650,000 prize pool and ranking points.
