G2 Esports and DRX left VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík

The matches of the second round of the lower bracket VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík have ended, as a result of which the teams G2 Esports and DRX left the championship. In turn, Paper Rex and ZETA DIVISION will go to the third round, where they will compete for the right to stay at the event.

In the first confrontation, the Japanese team made a real sensation by beating DRX with a score of 2:1. In the second match, Paper Rex proved to be stronger than the Europeans from G2 Esports with a score of 2:0, thus remaining in the championship.

The next matches VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík will take place on Friday, April 22. In the first case, the final of the upper bracket will take place, in which LOUD and OpTic Gaming will play. After that, Paper Rex and ZETA DIVISION will face each other.

  • 7th-8th place: The Guard — $25,000 + 200 points.
  • 7th-8th place: Team Liquid — $25,000 + 200 points.
  • 9th-10th place: XERXIA — $15,000 + 150 points.
  • 9th-10th place: Ninjas in Pajamas — $15,000 + 150 points.
  • 11th-12th place: KRÜ Esports — $10,000 + 125 points.
  • 11th-12th place: Fnatic — $10,000 + 125 points.

Note: FunPlus Phoenix was awarded $25,000 and 200 ranking points.

VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík runs from 10 to 24 April. Twelve teams from all over the world are competing for a $650,000 prize pool and ranking points.
