Leaks Reveal Details of New League of Legends Champion, Locke
According to insiders Big Bad Bear and League of Legends Leaks & News, the next champion to join League of Legends will be Locke. He is expected to be introduced next week in a motion comic. Locke will likely be an AP-oriented champion functioning as an assassin or bruiser, with gameplay potentially similar to Ekko or Diana.
Leaked illustrations show the character armed with a dagger made of petricite. In the game's lore, this is an anti-magic material from Demacia, consisting of fossilized wood altered by runes. Petricite is capable of absorbing magic and is commonly used in the region's architecture. According to preliminary data, Locke's abilities are tied to magic seals, rituals, and ancient artifacts.
Locke will join the 15 existing champions from Demacia, including Garen, Lux, Sylas, and Jarvan IV. There are currently 172 champions in the game, with Mel, Yunara, and Zaahen being the most recent additions. The release of Locke will expand the possibilities for team strategies and synergies with the existing roster.
