T1 Defeat G2 Esports and Claim Third Place at LoL EWC 2025
The third-place match at the League of Legends Esports World Cup 2025 has just concluded, featuring a clash between G2 Esports and T1.
Game 1 Picks:
- G2 Esports: Sion, Trundle, Annie, Senna, Nautilus
- T1: Aurora, Xin Zhao, Azir, Lucian, Braum
Game 2 Picks:
- G2 Esports: Jax, Maokai, Tristana, Sivir, Alistar
- T1: Gwen, Vi, Sylas, Jhin, Bard
The match was completely dominated by T1. They approached G2 Esports with full focus and never gave them a moment to breathe. Unfortunately for G2 Esports, nothing seemed to work out for them. To be fair, though, they made the same mistake as MKOI did in their match against T1 — they gave up too much control of the mid lane, which allowed Faker to have way too much space.
Credit where it’s due — Oner once again demonstrated how crucial it is to play proactively as a Jungler. He was everywhere on the map, helping the team snowball their advantage from the very beginning.
With this victory, T1 claim the bronze medal at the LoL Esports World Cup 2025, taking home $230,000. G2 Esports finish in 4th place — still a great result for them — and earn $160,000.
