Anyone’s Legend Defeat T1 and Become the First Finalists of LoL EWC 2025
The first Semifinal match of the day at the League of Legends Esports World Cup 2025 featured a showdown between LPL representatives Anyone’s Legend and LCK powerhouse T1. These teams had recently met in the Lower Bracket Final of MSI 2025, where T1 secured a hard-fought 3:2 victory. Let’s take a look at how things played out this time.
Game 1 Picks:
- Anyone’s Legend: Aurora, Trundle, Azir, Lucian, Braum
- T1: Gwen, Wukong, Annie, Jhin, Rell
Game 2 Picks:
- Anyone’s Legend: Yorick, Xin Zhao, Galio, Senna, Alistar
- T1: Rumble, Skarner, Taliyah, Corki, Rakan
In this series, Anyone’s Legend showed excellent preparation against their opponents. Both games were completely under AL’s control. They didn’t allow T1 much room to move across the map, and every skirmish seemed to go in their favor.
Game 2 had a brief moment of tension and a small comeback window for T1, with Gumayusi dealing massive damage and securing most of the team’s kills. Unfortunately for T1, that alone wasn’t enough. AL played teamfights brilliantly, consistently disrupting T1’s ability to execute full combos.
After two relatively clean games, Anyone’s Legend closed out the series with a convincing 2:0 victory.
The MVP of the match was Anyone’s Legend’s top laner Flandre, who delivered an incredible performance and made a huge impact across both games, finishing with a combined KDA of 30.
With this win, Anyone’s Legend advance to the Grand Final of LoL EWC 2025, where they’ll face the winner of Gen.G vs G2 Esports. T1 still remain in the tournament and will play in the third-place match tomorrow.
The League of Legends EWC 2025 runs from July 16 to July 20, bringing together 12 of the world’s best teams to compete for the championship title and a $2,000,000 USD prize pool. With multiple matches happening each day, be sure to follow along for all the latest esports updates.
