First Stand 2025: Team Liquid Fall to Top Esports

First Stand 2025

The second day of the First Stand Tournament unfolded without comebacks or unexpected twists. In the matchup between Team Liquid and Top Esports, the Chinese team proved that they are currently one of the strongest squads from one of the most skilled regions in League of Legends.

Team Liquid fought until the very end, but Top Esports proved to be the superior team. Yesterday’s crushing defeat against Hanwha Life Esports clearly impacted TES's mindset, as today they looked like a completely different team.

The series between Team Liquid and Top Esports ended with a decisive 2:0 victory for the Chinese squad. As a result, at the end of the second matchday, both teams hold a 1-1 record in the tournament standings.

The group stage will take place from March 10 to March 14 in a Round Robin format, where each team will face every opponent, earning points for map and match victories. All matches will be played in a Bo3 format. The playoffs, scheduled for March 15 to March 16, will feature Bo5 matches, and only four teams will make it through.
