Faker, the "Unkillable Demon King," and his team T1 have claimed their fifth world championship trophy. In a fierce showdown against the Chinese team Bilibili Gaming, T1 emerged victorious with a score of 3:2. On the final map, they showed that they are the ones who are making esports history here and now, keeping the era of T1 alive.

Both teams made their way to the finals through the playoffs, delivering flawless performances and leaving no chance for their opponents, dropping only one map each in two series.

For T1, this trophy was highly symbolic. This year, they managed to surpass their previous achievement from 2015-2016 when they became champions two years in a row. And this year, they did it again, winning back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024.
