LoL 2024 World Championship: Semifinals Preview and Schedule
The finish line of the World Championship 2024 is already in sight, which means that the next matches will be not for life but for death and every team wants to stay in the tournament and show their best side.
The first Knockout Stage match is coming up in 4 days already, so let's take a closer look at the upcoming matches.
Weibo Gaming - Bilibili Gaming
The opening match of the next stage promises to be very exciting. Two Chinese representatives will meet each other: Weibo Gaming and Bilibili Gaming, but only one of them will make it to the finals.
Both teams finished Swiss Stage at the top of the standings with an overall score of 3-2 on wins and losses. In the quarterfinals, Weibo had no trouble beating LNG Esports 3-1 to advance. The team is now on the upswing and confidently heading towards the finals.
Bilibili, on the other hand, played against Hanwha Life Esports from Korea and were also able to defeat them effortlessly. It should be noted that anything can happen in this match, because both teams are about equal and show excellent results at the tournament, so we will not single out anyone in particular and see what the teams will show us on the server.
T1 - Gen.G Esports
The second pairing will feature T1 competing against Gen.G.
A match that can claim to be one of the most intriguing. Gen.G finished Swiss Stage in the 1st place, with almost perfect and mistakeless play from the team and as a result of their progression to the semifinals.
It should be recalled that before making the playoffs, the team defeated Weibo, Hanwha Life Esports and Top Esports, which are not the most pleasant opponents. T1 suffered only one defeat in the beginning, but then confidently defeated G2, Bilibili and Pain, thus guaranteeing themselves a place in the semifinal.
T1 has been proving for years that they are one of the best teams in the world and they are not going to give up a win for nothing. Gen.G will have to show their best in this matchup to make it to the finals, as T1 will clearly try to play first and dominate the map.
