JDG turn the streak against Top Esports and advance to the LPL finals

The last match of LPL Summer 2022 in the upper bracket between Top Esports and JD Gaming turned out to be, perhaps, the most fascinating and amazing of the entire tournament! The teams kept the audience in suspense throughout the game, keeping the intrigue until the very end. The final ended with a back streak of wins from JDG, from 0-2 to 3-2 in their favor.

JDG vs TES Match Review

The 1st game was very dynamic with a lot of shifts and fights up to the 15th minute. Both teams were level and JDG had a slight advantage in gold by the middle of the game, about 3k gold by the 25th minute. But the outcome of the game was decided by the killing of the Baron at the 28th minute, after which JackeyLove put an end to the game with his Draven, killing enemy after enemy, after which they maintained a dominant position, winning at the 34th minute.

2nd game and again we give all the regalia to the machine on JackeyLove. JD Gaming maintained their dominance until the 30th minute, outperforming TES by 7k gold, and took 4 water dragons, getting a soul that is extremely hard to fight against in the current meta. At the 41st minute, the advantage in gold was already more than 10 thousand, and the TES nexus stood without towers and two sides. But the team's ADK "refused to lose" and radically turned the game around with its Zeri with a full purchase. JackeyLove, with the support of the team, killed all 5 opponents and inflicted more than 22 thousand damage in one fight, which is most likely an absolute record for the entire LPL, but the statistics for individual fights are not exactly tracked. After 9 minutes and a couple of senior dragons with Barons TES still managed to win, and their ADK received MVP for the second time in a series.

Game 3 brought a quick win for JDG. The players of the team were able, as before, to capture the early game and continued to impose their rules, not allowing the map to drag on. It cannot be said that there was some kind of turning point, no. JD Gaming generally outperformed Top Esports everywhere, slowly building up their gold lead. And already from this game it was noticeable that JDG did not skimp on resources to catch JackeyLove. At the 23rd minute, JDG took the first Baron Nashor right in front of the enemy and ended the game at the 26th minute. MVP got the 369 top runner on Aatrox.

The 4th game was also very controversial, but here we saw a comeback not from Top Esports, as before, but from JD Gaming. Until the 20th minute, an absolutely equal fight, but from the 24th minute and the first Baron, TES seized the advantage. The second and third Barons Nashors also left for TES, but it was on the kill of the latter that the midlaner of the knight team set himself up, after which Kanavi on Wukong was able to perfectly initiate, killing the entire TES team, except for the support. This allowed JDG to finish the game. MVP got just Kanavi for his decisive break on the third Baron. Separately, it is worth highlighting how many flushes were given away and what a strong focus was on ADK TES JackeyLove. In this game, they did not want to let him play with all his might. Perhaps in this JDG found the key to victory.

The 5th decisive game left behind no less intrigue. The whole beginning almost completely went to Top Esports and by the 22nd minute they had an advantage of 5k gold. At the 24th TES, they take their first Nashor, but already at the 25th minute, when they try to push the mid, they die 4v0, which becomes a chance to turn the game around. Then in the 32nd minute, jungler JDG Kanavi steals Baron Nashor for his team, reducing the difference in teams' gold to a minimum. The fight for the next Baron at the 45th minute was decisive, in which, despite the strong focus and low health, JDG Hope managed to survive and deal 9k damage for Sivir. But the MVP was the mid-laner Yagao, who was not banned Azir for the only time in the series and he showed why.

Thus, JD Gaming won the LPL Summer 2022 final and advanced to the grand final of their region, where it will be decided who will become the winner of this year and go to the 2022 World Championship.

Top Esports, in turn, are still not eliminated from the tournament, but only fall into the lower bracket, where they will meet with the former champions of Edward Gaming on August 28. Even so, TES are the first Chinese team to qualify for the main stage of the 2022 World Championship based on group stage points.
