LCK Summer 2022: group stage results

The group stage of LCK Summer 2022 has come to an end, as a result of which the teams Freecs, Nongshim RedForce, Brion Esports and Hanwha Life Esports left the championship and lost their chances to go to the 2022 World Championship. In turn, the six remaining teams will continue to fight in the playoffs of LCK Summer 2022. Results of the LCK Summer 2022 group stage

The best team of the group stage was Gen.G Esports, which has 17 wins and only 1 loss. It is followed by the T1 team, which has 15 wins and 3 losses. The third place went to the representatives of SANDBOX Gaming, who got 13 wins and suffered 5 losses. The teams DAMWON Gaming, KT Rolster and DRX also made it to the playoffs with 10, 10 and 9 wins respectively.

In turn, the Freecs, Nongshim RedForce, Brion Esports and Hanwha Life Esports teams left the LCK Summer 2022, depriving themselves of the chance to go to the 2022 World Championship.

LCK Summer 2022 runs from June 15 to August 28 in South Korea at LoL PARK and Gangneung Arena. As part of the championship, ten South Korean teams are fighting for a prize pool of $287,049, rating points, and one direct ticket to the 2022 World Championship.

Intermediate results of LCK Summer 2022

  • 1st: $153,092 + ticket to 2022 World Championship
  • 2nd place: $76,546 + 100 points
  • 3rd place: $38,273 + 80 points
  • 4th place: $19,136 + 50 points
  • 5th place: 30 points
  • 6th place: 10 points
  • 7th place: Freecs
  • 8th place: Nongshim RedForce
  • 9th place: Brion Esports
  • 10th: Hanwha Life Esports

The 2022 World Championship will take place from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. The Play-In stage will take place from September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City, and the group stage will take place from October 7-10 and October 13-16 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world (excluding the CIS) will compete for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.

The championship will begin with a preliminary stage, in which 12 out of 24 teams will take part:

  • China (LPL) is the team that took 4th place in the split.
  • South Korea (LCK) is the team that finished 4th in the split.
  • Europe (LEC) - teams that took 3rd and 4th places in the split.
  • North America (LCS) is the team that finished 3rd in the split.
  • South East Asia (PCS) is the team that took 2nd place in the split.
  • Vietnam (VCS) is the team that took 2nd place in the split.
  • Brazil (CBLOL) - Team 1st in Split
  • Japan (LJL) – team that finished 1st in the split
  • Latin America (LLA) - 1st place team in the split
  • Oceania (LCO) - the team that took 1st place in the split.
  • Turkey (TCL) is the team that took 1st place in the split.
