Summer is coming to an end, and with it, the group stage of the Continental League Summer Split 2022, a series of tournaments around the world in League of Legends, is coming to an end. In the largest region in all of Asia in esports discipline, China, the penultimate week of games at the LPL Summer 2022 has already begun , which will decide for some teams whether they will reach the playoffs. And the penultimate week of the Korean LCK Summer 2022 will start in half a day.
And there is a lot at stake. Even if the cash prizes are not taken into account, all teams have the opportunity to get a pass to the annual League of Legends world championship, that is, Worlds 2022. The total prize pool in China is approximately $622,905 USD, while in Korea it is approximately $289,597 USD, considering currency fluctuations. But only one winning team from each region will get to Worlds 2022, but the teams that have reached the LPL and LCK finals will be able to test their strength in the Play-In stage, where they will have the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship through qualifying games with finalists from other continents.

In many ways, this rise in the level of the game is due to the great competition in the region, because even if in the nearest Korea the competition is held between 10 teams, in China between 17.
Since the spring split of this year, the situation with the positions of the teams on the LPL has changed quite a lot, if you do not touch the top tier of the team separately. In particular, the teams that could be called outsiders at the LPL Spring 2022 made a strong impression. But now the same Anyone's Legend and ThunderTalk Gaming show a much more productive game. And among the stronger teams, it is worth noting Top Esports, which, apparently, have seriously prepared for this split and from the very beginning demonstrate a competitive level of play worthy of Worlds 2022.

We are moving from the largest and most competitive region to the most stable and professional one. After all, I’m sure this is how you can describe Korean eSports and no one will have any doubts. In League of Legends, Korea has made a strong showing with T1, iG, and DWG KIA. The country has won the Worlds countless times thanks to these teams.
Now LCK Summer 2022 is gradually coming to an end, and although there are fewer of them than in China, there are also noticeable changes in the professional scene of this country. Hanwha Life Esports and Nongshim RedForce still occupy the last places of the standings, but, suddenly, they were joined by Brion Esports, who performed relatively well in the spring. But among the top-tier teams, everything is a little more interesting. T1, who finished the group stage at LCK Spring 2022 without a single defeat, began to play noticeably worse, as even the players themselves said, dissatisfied with their game. At this time, their main competitor, Gen.G Esports, is in extremely good shape and sets the bar for the entire tournament with the level of their game and is still the main contender for victory.
