TOP Esports is the first Chinese team at Worlds 2022

Esports organization Top Esports has become the first League of Legends team from China to qualify for the 2022 World Championship. The club has earned enough ranking points to secure a place in the group stage.

TOP Esports is currently playing in the LPL 2022 Summer Playoffs. Thanks to the victory at the LPL 2022 Summer, the team started its journey from the 4th round of the upper bracket. In a tense fight, TOP Esports outplayed EDward Gaming with a score of 3:2 and reached the semi-finals of the tournament. The team will earn at least 80 ranking points, which is enough to take 1st place in the LPL team rankings. In the LPL 2022 Spring Playoffs, TOP Esports won the silver medal and received 70 points and ¥1,000,000 ($146,021).

Recall that the 2022 World Championship will be held from September 29 to November 5 of this year. The venue for Worlds 2022 will be Mexico and the United States. 24 teams will compete for a prize pool of $2,225,000.
