Some PCS matches are being postponed due to COVID
lieThe League of Legends Pacific Championship Series is the premier Legaue of Legends event for esports organizations in Oceania. PCS Spring 2022 is a traditional spring split of the continental League of Legends, which determines the strength of teams every six months for different regions.
This time, due to reports of positive player tests from the Malaysian team SEM9, the schedule of the tournament will change slightly. It’s too early to be scared, nothing terrible has happened yet and the split will not be transferred. Most likely, the changes will affect only the players who fell ill and their teams.
This was reported on the official page of the Pacific Championship Series on Twitter.
“After receiving information from SEM9 that the players tested positive for COVID. In order to prevent the spread of infection and ensure the safety of the players, the original schedule for the first and second weeks will be changed.”
But the organizers of the tournament are working quite quickly and posted updated information about the order and schedule of the matches in a couple of hours.
