Valve releases Battle Pass for The International 2019 on May 7

The compendium will allow players to have access to in-game objectives, due to which they will be able to receive rewards in the form of new sets, treasuries, chat wheel phrases. Users will also be able to play Wheel of Rylai, take part in a quiz and vote for an arcana. Valve will also add new special modes and players, in turn, will have a chance to test their analytical skills and to predict teams’ results at The International, for which they will receive rewards too.

It’s worth to remind that The International 2019 will take place in Shanghai, China on August 20-25. Mercedes-Benz Arena will be a venue and the sum of the prize pool will depend on how well the funding from the compendium will be. The initial sum of the pool is $1,600,000 + 25% of the money made on Battle Pass. The upcoming International will be carried out in the theme of jungles and old ruins.

18 teams will participate in the championship with the large prize pool. Four teams have already guaranteed themselves invites at the moment: Team Secret, Virtus.pro, Vici Gaming, and Evil Geniuses. At the tournament, they will be joined by eight teams, which will earn the biggest number of Dota Pro Circuit points on the outcome of the season and 6 participants, which will pass regional qualifiers.
