Xtreme Gaming eliminate Execration 2–0 in Esports World Cup 2025 Round of 16 (BO3)
Chinese powerhouse Xtreme Gaming swept Filipino squad Execration 2–0 in the opening elimination match of the Esports World Cup 2025 playoffs, punching their ticket to the quarterfinals.
Game one was all Xtreme from the jump. Xm set the tone with fast rotations and big kills on his mid hero, while Ame farmed freely and joined fights on his own terms. With Xxs locking down Execration’s cores and poloson setting the tempo with nonstop vision, the Chinese squad cruised to a 28–9 stomp in just 36 minutes.
Execration showed more life in game two, with Palos and Lewis finding key pickoffs to keep the net worth close for over 40 minutes. But in the end, Ame scaled out of control on his late-game carry, dropping massive damage in every teamfight. XinQ landed several clutch disables to stop Execration’s counterplay, and Xtreme Gaming closed it out 33–27 to complete the sweep.
With this victory, Xtreme Gaming advance to the quarterfinals where they’ll face PARIVISION on Sunday, July 13 at 11:00 PM CET. Execration’s run ends in the Round of 16, as the last Southeast Asian team bows out of the event. Three more elimination matches are set for later today: Team Yandex vs Shopify Rebellion, HEROIC vs Talon, and Falcons vs Virtus.pro.
