Team Spirit sweep Talon Esports 2–0 at the Esports World Cup 2025 (BO2)
Team Spirit kicked off their Group A run with a clean 2–0 win over SEA representatives Talon Esports in their Esports World Cup 2025 opener.
Game 1 was all about speed and precision. Yatoro dominated the laning stage and snowballed into a flawless carry performance, racking up kills left and right. Larl joined the party with relentless rotations, setting up fights that kept Talon on the back foot. The match ended in under 27 minutes with Spirit firmly in control, taking the opener 32–11. Game 2 followed the same script. Yatoro stayed red-hot while Collapse and Miposhka brought the teamfight execution. Talon couldn’t find stable ground, and despite efforts from Mikoto and Ws, they fell apart under Spirit’s pressure. A 46–15 stomp closed the series in just over 37 minutes.

The 2–0 result launches Team Spirit into the top spot of Group A alongside Natus Vincere, both sitting at 3–1 map records. Talon now face an uphill climb with a 1–3 scoreline. Up next, Spirit face NaVi in a showdown on July 10 that could decide who advances to playoffs. Meanwhile, Talon must win out against Xtreme Gaming to stay alive.
