Qualification for The International 2022 starts in Western Europe today!
Maksym ShylovThe regional qualifiers are slowly coming to an end. We recently wrote about the Southeast Asian qualifier which started at night. The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier starts today.
Format
The teams will fight in the Double-Elimination bracket. All matches, except for the Grand Final, will be played in bo3 format. The decisive match will be presented in the form of a bo5 series. Clubs were seeded according to the number of DPC points scored and the places taken in the last round of the DPC league.

In total, 12 clubs will take part in the qualifiers for the Dota 2 World Championship:

Schedule of matches of the first game day
The first gaming day will delight Dota 2 fans with fights in the upper bracket. The winners advance to the semi-finals of the winners' bracket, while the losers will have one more chance at the bottom of the bracket.

- goonsquad vs. Nigma Galaxy - 14:00 EEST
- Team Secret vs. Into The Breach - 17:00 EEST

Matches history: The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier
Recall that The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier takes place from September 13 to 17 of this year in an online format. The top 12 Western European teams that did not qualify for the World Championship based on DPC points are fighting for the only slot in the main stage of The International 2022. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers will travel to Singapore to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier.
