Riyadh Master 2023 is the final event of the revamped ESL Pro Tour series in 2023. The tournament will be the biggest championship outside of the DPC ecosystem, with a prize pool of $15,000,000.
The tournament will take place in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh from 17-30 July 2023. The biggest Dota 2 tournament in the history of the discipline will bring together 20 teams.
The championship will be the final event of ESL's ETP Tour. Directly linked to DreamLeague S19 and DreamLeague S20 tournaments, from where teams will qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2023, part of the Gamers8 festival with a total prize pool of $45,000,000.

Riyadh Master 2023 highlights
The Riyadh Masters 2023 will be the biggest event in Dota 2 in 2023 apart from The International 2023. The Riyadh Masters 2023 tournament will be the final event of the ESL Pro Tour 2023, from the organizers of The Berlin Major 2023, who have teamed up with the Saudi Cyber Sport Federation to host tournament this year.
The Riyadh Masters 2023 tournament will be part of the Gamers8 cybersports festival and the prize pool will be a third of the total $45,000,000 prisepool. The Riyadh Masters 2023 will see the world's best teams battle it out for $15,000,000.
The Dota festivities will take place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The tournament will take place from 17-30 July 2023 and will host 20 teams from 6 competitive regions.
The selection process for the Riyadh Masters 2023 will begin on 9 April, with the start of DreamLeague S19. The first competitor will be the winner of DreamLeague Season 19, and 2 more will advance to the group stage of the $15,000,000 tournament from the DreamLeague Season 20 final.
A further 5 teams will qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2023 tournament with the best average performance from DreamLeague S19 & S20. The best places in the two tournaments are taken into account.
The Riyadh Masters 2023 will be an improved version of the Riyadh Masters 2022 held in July 22. The prize money for the first edition of the Riyadh Masters series was 4,000,000 and PSG.LGD was the tournament champion.
Format of Riyadh Masters 2023
The biggest championship of 2023 outside the DPC will get an elaborate hosting system. The Riyadh Masters 2023 tournament will be divided into 3 stages: Play-In, group stage and play-offs.
In the Play-In championship, 12 teams will play, divided into two equal groups of 6 teams each. Two groups will play a Round-Robin with BO2 matches, after which 2 teams from each basket will advance to the group stage.
Teams ranked 3rd and 4th in the group will play against teams ranked 5th and 6th in the opposite group. The winner of each match qualifies for the group stage.
The group stage of the Riyadh Masters 2023 will feature 16 teams, which will be divided into 2 baskets with 8 teams in each. The group matches will be played in a Round-Robin format with bo2 matches.
Teams 1 to 4 are qualified for the play-offs, teams ranked 5th and 6th are relegated to the losers' circle. Teams ranked 7th or 8th are relegated.
In the play-offs of the Lima Major 2023, 12 teams take part (8 teams start in the top ranking and the rest in the bottom ranking). The main stage is a Double-Elimination with a bo3 match format and the grand final is played until 3 wins (bo5).
