The defeat of NAVI and the first victory of mousesports - the results of the third round of ESL Pro League Season 14
/The next day of the ESL Pro League Season 14 group stage has come to an end. The situation in Group C is heating up, and right now four teams are claiming to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. In addition, the first victory on the account of mousesports, which can still break into the struggle for a place in the top three.
NAVI - BIG
NAVI and BIG turned out to open the game day. Many expected to see another victory of the Ukrainian team, which occupied the first line in the standings before this round. But the guys from BIG were of a different opinion, showing character and tactical skill. In the first half of Dust 2, it was impossible to single out a favorite, since the starting series ended with a minimal advantage in favor of BIG. However, in defense, the German team turned out to be untouchable, quickly increasing the gap to indecent. As a result, NAVI could not come up with a way to hack such a reliable protection, resigning itself to its defeat - 11:16.
On the second map, the stage of humility gained momentum, since already before the change of sides, the Ukrainian team burned for five rounds. The further development of events perfectly described the nature of NAVI, which openly gave up and accepted defeat on its choice - 7:16.
FaZe Clan - fnatic
The meeting between FaZe Clan and fnatic turned out to be much more interesting from the point of view of tournament prospects and struggle. However, the beginning of the Overpass map turned out to be a failure for fnatic, who could not think of anything in the attack, leaving for a short break with three rounds in their pocket. Nevertheless, this tandem managed to find the necessary motivation to make a steep comeback and avoid overtimes - 16:14.
The Mirage map has already proceeded without much intrigue, as FaZe Clan players outright gave up. After the first half, the team burned with a score of 4:11, clearly not understanding what needed to be fixed. Well, fnatic had no trouble getting the required number of rounds to record a confident victory at the opponent's pick - 16: 7.
mousesports - Evil Geniuses
In the evening, a battle of two outsiders awaited us, together with which the fate of the last place in the championship was decided. At first, it might seem that the North American team is able to impose a struggle on the "mice" who are experiencing obvious difficulties with adaptation after the break. However, after a successful start on Inferno, "Evil Geniuses" were completely blown away, not showing significant resistance in defense. The final score of 16: 8 perfectly demonstrated Evil Geniuses' inability to fight.
The Nuke map proceeded with a similar scenario, since the first half of the North Americans could be credited to their assets. However, in the attack, the team again won just one round, quickly letting go of mousesports, which took the map with a 16:11 score, and at the same time scored the first three points in the group.
