It looks like Stockholm is in danger of being left without another major esports championship. The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 CSGO, which is due to take place in Stockholm this fall, may be relocated to another country.

This is hinted at by PGL CEO Silviu Stroye. He recently commented on the preparation of the organizers for the tournament.

Comment by PGL CEO Silviu Stroye

Time is running out, but no shift is observed. Any day we can decide to postpone the competition outside Sweden. We would like to receive the necessary guarantees for the import of players, but so far there are no prerequisites that this will happen.

It looks like PGL faced the same issues as Valve had previously. Recall that Gabe Newell's company recently announced the transfer of The International to Bucharest, and also named the dates for the Dota 2 World Championship.
