The first game day was quite eventful, as within its framework the organizers managed to play as many as 10 matches! The first 8 were held in Bo1 format, while all the rest were held in Bo3 format. In Group A, teams such as Team Fiend and FaZe Clan have already completed their performance in the championship. In the upper bracket, they failed to beat Gambit Esports and Virtus.pro, respectively, and in the lower bracket they lost against Team Spirit and mousesports.

Gambit Esports and Natus Vincere, in turn, have already secured themselves by reaching the playoffs, but where they will start their journey is still unknown. The winner of the last match in the upper bracket will advance to the semifinals, while the losing participant of the match will begin his journey in the quarterfinals.

Virtus.pro, Team Spirit, G2 Esports and mousesports continue their path in the lower bracket in Group A and are still struggling to reach the playoffs.

In Group B Astralis, Complexity Gaming, BIG and Heroic won the first confrontations and advanced to the next round of the upper bracket. Extra Salt, Vitality, FURIA Esports and paiN Gaming, in turn, went to the lower bracket and will fight there for the right to continue to compete in DreamHack Masters Spring 2021.

We remind you that six teams will advance to the final stage of the event. Only three teams from each group will be able to get into the playoffs. The teams that showed the best result in their eight will start their way right away from the semi-finals, while the rosters that took 2-3 places in the groups will go to the quarterfinals.
