IEM Katowice 2021: Team Liquid and NiP advanced to the group stage

The first gaming day of Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2021 has come to an end. According to its results, the first four were selected for the group stage, and two participants have already left the competition.

In the upper bracket, Team Spirit, Gambit Esports, NiP and Team Liquid showed the best performance. They received invitations to the group stage, where they will fight with their opponents. Movistar Riders and Team One were defeated in the lower bracket and completed their participation in the championship.

Today all the remaining matches will take place and we will find out the full list of participants in the group stage. The seeding of collectives into groups will become known later.

Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2021 is one of the biggest championships of 2021. Its prize fund is $ 1,000,000, and 24 teams take part in its division. The tournament starts today and ends on February 28. The main cash prize of the event will be $ 400,000, as well as 1,800 ESL Pro Tour rating points and 3,200 BLAST Premier rating points.
