
FURIA secure fourth trophy in two months after defeating Falcons in the BLAST Rivals 2025 S2 final
FURIA claimed their fourth trophy in just two months, overcoming Falcons 3:1 in a tense BLAST Rivals 2025 S2 grand final and solidifying their status as one of the main favourites heading into the StarLadder Budapest Major. A standout performance from YEKINDAR and the composure shown by the entire roster allowed the Brazilians to edge out the victory despite the heroic form of m0NESY.
Inferno (13:3 Falcons)
Falcons opened the grand final with a confident and dominant win on Inferno. Despite it being FURIA’s map pick, Falcons fully controlled the game, leaving their opponents without any chance for a comeback. kyxsan delivered an exceptional performance, finishing the map with a KD of 23/7 and a 2.54 rating.
Nuke (13:9 FURIA)
FURIA struck back on Nuke. The first half was fairly even: FURIA controlled the early rounds, but Falcons managed to regain momentum and tie the score by round eight. Switching to the T side, FURIA showcased a strong attacking half, and with YEKINDAR closing the map with a KD of 27/13 and a 2.21 rating, they secured the win and equalised the series.
Train (19:15 FURIA)
Train turned into a real battle. Falcons, starting on the CT side, earned a slight advantage with a 7:5 first half. After the switch, FURIA pulled ahead, but Falcons managed to force overtime. However, in the extra rounds, FURIA proved stronger, sealing the map 19:15.
Mirage (19:16 FURIA)
The fourth and final map also went in FURIA’s favour. Falcons began confidently with a 4:0 lead, but FURIA quickly took over and closed the first half 7:5. Moving to the CT side, Falcons reached map point, yet FURIA found the strength to push the game to overtime. In the second set of exhausting extra rounds, FURIA prevailed, winning 19:16 and closing the series 3:1.
Match MVP
The MVP of the intense series was m0NESY. Despite the loss, he delivered a 1.3 rating, 85.8 ADR and a +4.00% Swing. Even with the young Falcons AWPer’s immense effort, FURIA proved superior.
