Vitality narrowly avoid upset with win over TYLOO at BLAST Rivals 2025
Vitality kicked off their BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 campaign with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over TYLOO. After a dominant start on Overpass, the Chinese squad shocked everyone by equalizing on Nuke, but couldn’t close it out on the deciding Inferno. Ropz claimed MVP honors, while Vitality narrowly escaped an early tournament exit.
Overpass (13:2 Vitality)
TYLOO chose Overpass as their map pick against Vitality — but it quickly turned into a nightmare. The Chinese team managed to take only two rounds on the T side, and Vitality easily closed out the map 13:2 in the second half.
Nuke (13:4 TYLOO)
On Vitality’s pick, TYLOO surprised many with their strong performance. Despite a good start from the Europeans, TYLOO seized control, winning the first half 9:3. Switching to the attacking side, they dropped only one round and tied the series 1–1.
Inferno (13:11 Vitality)
The decider on Inferno was tense and closely contested. The first half ended in a draw, with neither team clearly dominating. TYLOO kept chasing Vitality and even took the lead at 11:9, but the French squad regained momentum and sealed the win 13:11.
Match MVP
Ropz stood out as the best player of the series, posting 74.5 ADR, +5.58% Swing, and a 1.39 rating.
Vitality came dangerously close to a shocking early defeat but managed to turn things around and secure victory. TYLOO now fall to the lower bracket, where they will face paiN.
