Team The MongolZ claimed a confident 2:1 victory over HEROIC at IEM Chengdu 2025. Despite losing Overpass (10:13), the Asian roster dominated on Inferno (13:6) and Ancient (13:5), securing a spot in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where they will face the winner of NAVI vs Astralis.

Overpass (10:13 HEROIC)

On their own map pick, HEROIC showed strong preparation and determination. The first half ended 8:4 with convincing control from their T side. After switching sides, The MongolZ managed to tie the score at 10:10, but HEROIC held their ground and closed the map 13:10.

Inferno (13:6 The MongolZ)

On their pick, despite a solid start from HEROIC, The MongolZ took a slight 7:5 lead in the first half. Once they moved to the CT side, HEROIC completely lost control, managing to win only one round as The MongolZ closed the map 13:6 to even the series.

Ancient (13:5 The MongolZ)

The decider map, Ancient, turned into a one-sided affair. The MongolZ dominated from the start on the T side, displaying confident, aggressive play. In the second half, they maintained full control and prevented HEROIC from mounting any comeback, finishing the map 13:5.

HEROIC, meanwhile, drop to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals. IEM Chengdu 2025 runs from November 3–9 with a total prize pool of $1,000,000, including $300,000 distributed among teams and $700,000 allocated to the tournament organizer.
