Team Vitality secured a hard-fought 2:1 victory over Virtus.pro at IEM Chengdu 2025. After dropping Overpass (8:13), the French squad managed to turn the tide on Dust2 (13:11) and confidently closed out Mirage (13:4), earning their place in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where they will face MOUZ.

Overpass (8:13 Virtus.pro)

On Overpass, Vitality initially gained a narrow lead at 7:5 by halftime. However, switching sides, Virtus.pro built an active and disciplined defense that allowed Vitality to win only two rounds. As a result, VP claimed their map pick 13:8.

Dust2 (13:11 Vitality)

On their own pick, Vitality came close to losing both the map and the entire series. VP dominated most of the first half on the CT side and extended their advantage to 11:8 after switching sides. Nevertheless, Vitality responded with a strong five-round streak to snatch victory and tie the series 1–1.

Mirage (13:4 Vitality)

On the decisive map, Mirage, Vitality looked much more composed. Their CT side ended with an 8:4 lead, and once they switched to offense, the French squad didn’t concede a single round, closing the map 13:4.

Match MVP

Despite the loss, fame was the standout player of the series, posting 82.7 ADR, +1.14% Swing, and a 1.18 rating.

After the victory, Vitality advance to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where they will face MOUZ. Meanwhile, Virtus.pro fall to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, where they will play FaZe Clan. IEM Chengdu 2025 takes place from November 3–9, featuring a $1,000,000 prize pool, with $300,000 distributed among teams and $700,000 allocated to the tournament organizer.
