SAW advance to the playoffs of PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, Aurora drop to 2-2

SAW continue to impress at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. The Portuguese team defeated Aurora 2:1 (10:13, 16:13, 13:9) and secured a playoff spot with a 3-1 record, while the Turkish squad now stands one step away from elimination.

Nuke (13:10 Aurora)

SAW started the Nuke map with partial dominance, claiming a streak of six consecutive rounds on the T side. However, Aurora managed to fight back and closed the first half 5:7. After switching to the attacking side, Aurora seized the initiative and closed out the map 13:10, leaving no chance for overtime.

Inferno (13:16 SAW)

SAW earned a hard-fought victory on their opponent’s pick. They maintained decent control on the CT side in the first half, finishing it 7:5 in their favor. Aurora responded with an aggressive defense in the second half, taking the lead at 10:9, but SAW managed to reach map point. The Turkish side pushed the game into overtime, yet SAW showed composure and secured the win 16:13.

Train (9:13 SAW)

On the decider map, Train, Aurora set the pace early. Playing as T, they won the first half 8:4, giving themselves a small cushion. But after switching sides, SAW went on an incredible run, winning seven rounds in a row. Aurora failed to regain momentum and fell 9:13.

Despite the loss, the best player of the series was XANTARES, who posted an impressive performance: ADR – 99.9, Swing +1.12%, and a 1.35 rating.

SAW keep surprising everyone. As the underdogs of the event, they advance to the playoffs with a 3-1 record, while Aurora drop into the 2-2 pool, where there’s no more room for mistakes. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 takes place from October 26 to November 1, featuring a total prize pool of $625,000, with $200,000 going to the winning team and another $200,000 to the organization.
