FlyQuest stunned fnatic at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, claiming a 2:0 victory in a tense matchup. The Australian squad started strong on their Inferno pick, held off a comeback on Mirage, and leveled their group record to 1-1. Despite an outstanding performance from blameF, who earned MVP honors, fnatic now find themselves one loss away from elimination.

The match began on FlyQuest’s map pick. The Australian team looked confident in the first half, closing it out 9:3. In the second half, fnatic managed to seize the initiative and briefly pull ahead. However, FlyQuest didn’t allow their opponents to capitalize on the momentum and closed out the map 13:11.

On fnatic’s pick, FlyQuest managed to regain control after a few lost rounds and took the lead in the first half with an 8:4 score. Switching to the attacking side, fnatic attempted a comeback from 5:12 and nearly succeeded. Six consecutive round wins brought them close to overtime, but FlyQuest held their ground and secured a narrow 13:11 victory.

Despite the loss, blameF emerged as the standout performer, giving everything he had in pursuit of victory. However, one player’s effort wasn’t enough to turn the tide. His stats: ADR — 85.6, Swing +5.12%, and a 1.54 rating.

It’s a tough loss for fnatic, who drop to the 0-2 bracket and are now just one defeat away from exiting the tournament. Meanwhile, FlyQuest — the underdogs in this matchup — earned a crucial win to even their score at 1-1. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 runs from October 26 to November 1 with a total prize pool of $625,000, where the champions will claim $200,000 for the team and another $200,000 for the organization.
