SAW overcame Ninjas in Pyjamas in a tense three-map series (13:5, 10:13, 16:14) to secure their first win at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. The Portuguese squad displayed composure and determination, with Ag1l emerging as the standout performer, leading his team to a crucial 1-1 record in the group stage, while NiP now find themselves on the brink of elimination.
Ancient (13:5 SAW)
The match began on Ancient — NiP’s map pick. However, SAW managed to take control early, winning most of the rounds in the first half to lead 8:4. Switching to the T side, SAW dictated the pace of the game and left no room for NiP to recover, closing the map 13:5.
Nuke (10:13 NiP)
On their own pick, NiP started confidently and wrapped up the first half 9:3. After the side switch, SAW tried to regain momentum, but NiP held firm and closed the map 13:10 to force a decider.
Train (16:14 SAW)
The decisive Train map was a true battle from start to finish. Both teams traded rounds in a close first half. In the second, SAW pulled ahead 11:6, but NiP managed to push the game into overtime. There, SAW demonstrated incredible resilience and hunger to win, ultimately taking the map 16:14.
