
Vitality dominate HOTU and move closer to the ESL Pro League Season 22 playoffs
Vitality confidently defeated HOTU 2:0 (13:8 Overpass, 13:5 Dust2) in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 22. After a shaky start on the first map, the team managed to take control of the match and completely dominated on Dust2. The best player of the series was ropz with a 1.30 rating, as the victory moved Vitality to the 2-1 pool and one step closer to the playoffs.
Overpass (13:8 Vitality)
The start on Overpass was tough for Vitality. HOTU began with partial dominance and took a 5:1 lead. However, Vitality managed to seize the initiative, winning six rounds in a row and finishing the first half with a narrow 7:5 advantage. In the second half, HOTU couldn’t handle Vitality’s aggressive offense and eventually fell 13:8.
Dust2 (13:5 Vitality)
On their map pick, Vitality showed an aggressive T side that granted them a strong lead and solid economy. After switching to defense, Vitality dropped only one round — the one where the bomb exploded. HOTU couldn’t recover, and the map ended 13:5 in favor of Vitality.
