Fluxo end their ESL Pro League S22 run after defeat to G2

G2 defeated Fluxo 2:1 in their ESL Pro League S22 matchup. Despite losing Ancient, the European squad confidently closed out the next two maps — Inferno and Mirage — securing a place in the 2-2 bracket, while the Brazilian side finished the tournament in 12–14th place.

Ancient (13:11 Fluxo)

On their own pick, Fluxo showed a solid performance. The first half was fully under their control, with a streak of seven rounds giving them a strong economy. G2 managed to recover and tie the score at 11:11, but Fluxo held their ground, taking the last two rounds to win the map.

Inferno (13:2 G2)

Inferno turned into a nightmare for Fluxo. On the CT side, they couldn’t withstand G2’s aggressive and fast-paced offense, as the Europeans closed the half 10:2 in their favor. The second half was short-lived, with G2 easily taking the remaining three rounds to close the map 13:2.

Mirage (13:4 G2)

The decider, Mirage, looked very similar to Inferno. Once again, G2 dominated. They secured the first half 8:4 and after the side switch, Fluxo failed to mount a comeback, losing every round. G2 claimed the map 13:4 and sealed the series.

After the defeat, Fluxo published a post with words of gratitude to their fans on their X page:

Match MVP

HeavyGod was the standout player of the series. Across the three maps, he posted an ADR of 108.4, Swing +7.31%, and an impressive 1.77 rating.
