Astralis defeat HEROIC and stay alive at ESL Pro League S22

Astralis beat HEROIC 2:1 in their ESL Pro League S22 matchup. After a loss on Inferno, the Danish squad confidently closed the decider on Nuke and continue their fight in the 2-2 bracket, while HEROIC ended their tournament run.

Mirage (13:10 Astralis)

On their own pick, HEROIC started slightly ahead, leading 8:4 at halftime. However, in the second half, Astralis on the T side dominated from the start with a six-round streak. Dropping only two rounds, they sealed the map 13:10.

Inferno (13:4 HEROIC)

On their own pick, Astralis were practically absent on the server. HEROIC claimed 11 rounds in the first half, leaving almost no chance for a comeback. Astralis managed to secure three rounds after the switch, but it wasn’t enough, as HEROIC closed the map 13:4.

Nuke (13:2 Astralis)

The decider, Nuke, ended in a crushing defeat for HEROIC. They struggled heavily on the T side, winning just one round in the first half. Coming back from that deficit was nearly impossible, and Astralis finished the job convincingly, 13:2.

ESL Pro League S22 Stage 1 runs from September 28 to October 2, featuring 16 teams competing for spots in the second stage and a total prize pool of $400,000.
