The French team 3DMAX defeated HEROIC 2:0 at ESL Pro League S22, confidently winning Dust2 (13:8) and Inferno (13:9). This victory brings them closer to advancing to the second stage of the tournament, while HEROIC are now one step away from elimination.

Dust2 (8:13 3DMAX)

Dust2 ended successfully for the French side. In the first half, 3DMAX showed solid defense and closed it out 7:5 in their favor. In the second half, HEROIC started with a pistol round win followed by two gun rounds, but those were the last rounds they managed to secure on this map. 3DMAX displayed an aggressive T side and, with a streak of six straight rounds, sealed the map 13:8.

Inferno (13:9 3DMAX)

On their own pick, the French squad stuck to their aggressive attacking style, though it wasn’t a one-sided affair. HEROIC managed to claim five rounds in the first half. Switching to defense, HEROIC evened the score at 9:9. However, 3DMAX proved stronger on their CT side, stringing together four rounds in a row to close out the map 13:9.

Match MVP

The standout player of the series was Graviti. His stats across the match: ADR – 92.5, Swing +4.20%, and a 1.43 rating.

This victory puts 3DMAX at a 2-1 record, leaving them just one step away from qualifying for the second stage of the tournament, though the tension is only rising. For HEROIC, it’s not over yet: sitting at 1-2, they still have a chance to make a comeback, but the stakes are extremely high. ESL Pro League S22 Stage 1 runs from September 28 to October 2, with 16 teams competing for a spot in Stage 2 and a share of the $400,000 prize pool.
