Legacy eliminate Lynn Vision after reverse sweep
Legacy stayed alive at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 by completing a 2-1 reverse sweep over Lynn Vision in their 1-2 elimination match. The Chinese squad opened the best-of-three with a crushing 13-2 win on Dust2, but the Brazilians responded with back-to-back blowouts on Inferno and Nuke, winning 13-3 and 13-5 respectively.
The match started with Lynn Vision dominating Dust2 behind strong early reads and aggressive CT setups. They led 10-2 by halftime and closed out quickly after the side switch. z4kr and EmiliaQAQ led the scoreboard, while Legacy were limited to isolated picks with no consecutive rounds.
Inferno was a complete reversal. Legacy took 11 of the first 12 rounds with Eduardo ‘dumau’ Wolkmer finding multiple entry kills and clutches. He ended the map with 20 frags and a 1.83 rating. Lynn Vision failed to establish T-side control and only managed two more rounds before the map ended 13-3.
Nuke followed a similar pattern. Legacy opened 11-1 on the CT side and closed the series 13-5, showcasing organized rotations and clean teamplay. dumau again led all players with a 113.8 ADR and a 1.58 rating over the full series. latto and n1ssim supported with strong positioning and consistent trading, both above 1.10 in rating.
On Lynn Vision’s side, only z4kr and EmiliaQAQ posted even ratings across all three maps. The rest of the team struggled heavily on Inferno and Nuke, with C4LLM3SU3 and Starry ending under a 0.70 rating in the final two maps.
It’s worth mentioning this was a clash between two of the biggest surprise teams of the Major. Lynn Vision made a loud opening statement on Dust2, but the energetic Brazilians of Legacy answered with two brutal map wins. Truthfully, Legacy have shown more across all three stages, and seeing them in the playoffs would feel more natural. But to get there, they still need to win one more. Their next test comes against the loser of FaZe vs MongolZ. If Legacy have any miracles left in them, they’ll need to use one more on June 15.
