Nemiga vs MIBR – Austin Major 2025 Stage 2
Nemiga pulled off one of the first real upsets of Stage 2 by outlasting MIBR 16–12 in overtime on Ancient. The CIS squad held strong in regular time (7–5 first half, then 5–7), but completely dominated the OT 4–0, catching the Brazilians flat-footed in late-round clutches.
Despite the loss, MIBR's insani put on a star-level performance: 29 kills, 99.2 ADR, and a 1.52 rating, securing him Player of the Match. He and brnz4n (1.32 rating) kept MIBR competitive, but the rest of the squad fell off—saffee in particular struggled with only 8 kills across the entire map.
On Nemiga’s side, 1eeR and Xant3r delivered consistent impact, combining for 49 frags and crucial entries during OT. Even with riskyb0b having a rough showing (7–20), Nemiga’s cohesion and calm late-game reads gave them the edge.
The result knocks MIBR down to 0–2 and forces them into elimination territory. Nemiga, meanwhile, now sit 1–1 and prove they’re more than just an underdog story at this Major.
