paiN defeated Lynn Vision 2-0 in a best-of-three series at the BLAST.TV: Austin Major 2025 Stage 2 Swiss Round 4 Match. The winner would advance to Stage 3, making this a high-pressure encounter. The map vetoes saw Lynn Vision remove Mirage, while paiN took out Train. Lynn Vision picked Dust2 first, paiN responded by picking Nuke, and after further removals, Anubis was left over but never played.

On Dust2, paiN took control early, winning 13-8. Key moments included a clutch 1vs3 from David ‘dav1deuS’ Tapia Maldonado on the CT side, and several strong defensive rounds by paiN. On Nuke, paiN dominated even more decisively, closing the map 13-4 to secure the series before Anubis could come into play.

David ‘dav1deuS’ Maldonado led the way for paiN with a standout performance across both maps, finishing with a 42-17 kill-death ratio, an impressive 120.9 ADR, and a 1.86 rating. His consistency helped paiN maintain pressure throughout the series. Other players contributing well for paiN included Rodrigo ‘biguzera’ Bittencourt with a 25-22 K-D and a 1.24 rating, and Lucas ‘nqz’ Soares, who posted a 26-15 K-D and a 1.20 rating. On the Lynn Vision side, the team struggled to keep pace, with Junjie ‘EmiliaQAQ’ Tang and Sike ‘z4kr’ Zhang posting ratings below 1.0 — Tang finished 23-31 with a 0.83 rating, while z4kr ended 17-24 with a 0.75 rating.
