The MongolZ eliminate G2 with 2-0
The MongolZ punched their playoff ticket at IEM Dallas 2025 with a dominant 2-0 win over G2 in the Group A upper bracket semi-final. Starting on Inferno, the Mongolian squad overwhelmed G2 with a 13-4 win, shutting down both bombsites with discipline and pace. Dust2 wasn’t any better for G2, as The MongolZ closed it out 13-7 without ever losing control. There was no need for Ancient.
The momentum was clear from round one. Senzu and 910 were untouchable, both posting +18 or better in K/D and cracking over 84 ADR across the series. Senzu was the anchor on defense and the closer on attack, while 910 pulled off a wild 1v3 post-plant clutch on Dust2 that sealed G2’s fate. malbsMd had a highlight round with four Deagle headshots, but outside of that, G2 never looked ready.
G2 came into the match as slight favourites, but The MongolZ shut down every game plan before it got started. The firepower gap was massive, and the impact difference between the two teams was impossible to ignore.
